American Thorny Oyster
Spondylus americanus
2 ½" - 3 ½"
Out of stock
The American thorny oyster is a very spiky sea shell. The two halves fit together perfectly and it opens and closes on its self made hinge.
Spiny oysters are usually found adhering to rocks or other fixed objects in shallow water along the seacoasts, but are also found in brackish water in the mouth of rivers.
