Bleeding tooth nerite shells get their name from the mouth of the shell. It appears they have a tooth or two with a bleeding problem. Varying colors of orange, yellow, black, pink, or mauve are seen in unique designs. They're found in South Florida, West Indies and Bermuda near shore rocks. You can add a little color to your own seashell collection or use them to make earrings. The posibilities are endless.
