Deer Cowrie Shells
Cypraea vitellus
1 ¼" - 2"
Deer cowries are smooth, shiny, egg shaped seashells with long narrow slit-like openings. The natural white dots resemble spots on a fawn. They're found under coral slabs and stones in the Indo-Pacific near New Zealand.
