Magpie Shells
Cittarium pica
1 ¾" - 2"
Out of stock.
Magpie shells are dull black with white, green and brown markings. Each shell has unique patterns. Most of them have red and white calcium deposits attached to the outside.
They're also known as "Pica" shells or "West Indian Top". They're found in the caribbean near subtidal rocks near open ocean. The meat of this mollusk is often used in soups.
Check out polished and banded magpie shells too.
