Babylon Areola Sea Shells
Babylonia areolata
These small sea shells are off white with brown spiral or stripe patterns. The surface is smooth and the sutures are deep. The body whorl is rounded and the aperture is nice and wide. They are somewhat thin and pretty light weight.
Babylon areola can be found on sand in waters 33 to 66 feet deep in S.E. Asia.
These shells are similar to spirata and zeylandica shells.
